Date of event: July 30th, 2011
One more day went by as we wait for our trip to Nicaragua. The US government is delaying one of our passports in order to travel to Central America by airplane. Nonetheless, we’re thankful of our Tongan friends and for the invitation made to us to attend one of the unforgettable events we, as Last Trumpet Ministry along with the Berrios Kids, assist in the United States.

Not knowing the details of the event, or, what it was about we hurried and went to the Tongan United Methodist Church at 1553 W. Crystal Ave (2590 South) in West Valley City, Utah (USA). Once inside the church, our beloved friends greeted us: Heamoni Uesi, Tevita Uesi, Phil Tonga, Siosifa (Joseph) Uesi, Salote Uesi, Fale’aka Natalia Uesi, Heamoni (Junior) Taipaleti Taufuiaevalu, Neomai Kafoatu Uesi, and the Deacon Uesi. Unfortunately, Cecilia was not present because she had to work that day.

To my surprise the event was the Rededication of the Temple where the Queen Mother of Tonga, Halaevalu Mataʻaho ʻAhomeʻe, was present in the congregation of the Tongan United Methodist Church in West Valley City. The local channel news and other camera men were present as well as the bodyguards and security team of the Queen Mother of Tonga. It was a “red carpet” celebration with all the works. The music was fabulous and the food – I can’t tell you how much food there was! I did not want to leave the celebration! After a couple of hours, I sensed that I was in some tropical island. I forgot that I was still in West Valley City, Utah! The Laumalie Maonioni Tongan United Methodist Church Concert Band lead by Maestro Tevita Uesi played awesome music!

That day, I decided to bring my video camera and was able to take some pictures and video clips. To me, and, the Berrios Kids Ministry, this celebration (re-dedication of the temple) was an unforgettable event. Thank you, Vita, for the invitation!
